TYPE : competition

CLIENT : Quiver Tree Lodges

SCOPE : concept development

YEAR : 2021

A project focused on cutting-edge, non-permanent guest room structures for a luxury safari lodge in Limpopo, South Africa. Responding to the competition’s call for innovation, environmental sustainability, and minimal site impact, we created a design inspired by the shape of a funnel. The lodges featured lightweight tensile structures, which not only provided a striking aesthetic but also served a functional purpose: harvesting rainwater and channeling it into an underground storage system beneath each unit. Designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding bush while respecting the remote and wildlife-rich environment, our proposal aimed to enhance the guest experience through sustainable luxury. This project highlights our ability to merge architectural creativity with environmental responsibility in response to unique challenges.
