Our client sought a design that would reflect her Iraqi roots while creating a clean, contemporary café centered around simplicity and warmth. Inspired by ancient Sumerian architecture, we introduced custom elements featuring Sumerian script, including a handcrafted counter façade and details woven throughout the interior that pay tribute to one of the world’s earliest civilizations. Paired with a restrained palette of soft neutrals, warm textures, and minimal forms, the space offers a timeless atmosphere where culture is expressed through thoughtful, understated design.
